Paul Rand at Chaumont

"Providing, meaning to a mass of unrelated needs, ideas, words and pictures - it is the designer's job to select and fit this material together and make it interesting. " - Paul Rand

After acknowledging the work of major 20th century European figures of graphic design, the 2007 Chaumont Poster Festival crosses the Atlantic to present Paul Rand’s work, one of the most emminent modern American designers. He created a great numbers of posters, children's books, logos, and visual identities that have become international standards such as for the American computer company IBM, Westinghouse, ABC broadcast and the international shipping company UPS to name a few.
